Hello, and Welcome to another edition of WMUR’s Adopt This Pet! This week our guest is the Animal Rescue League of NH in Bedford, accompanied by one of their furry residents, Lucie. Here is what they want you to know about this pooch: Lucie is a 9 year old spayed female Boxer mix. Even though she's a senior dog, she still has a lot of energy and a lot of love to give. She loves chasing tennis balls and will do tricks for treats. Lucie would do great in an active home with children. While she'd prefer to be the only dog, she did live with cats in her previous home and did quite well with them. She does really well on car rides and loves to hang her head out the window. Lucie's adoption fee is $50 during the month of November. November is a busy month for the Animal Rescue League. It all starts on November 5 with their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Live and Silent Auction to be held at the Radisson in Manchester. Then on November 25, Black Friday, there is a huge adoption promotion and the shelter will be opening at 6am for all those early shoppers. The Rescue League will be offering great discounts on all of their animals. In addition, on November 26 & 27 they will have half price adoptions for all of their black animals. November is also Adopt-a-Senior-Pet month and in honor of that all senior cats will be available for only $30, and senior dogs, like Lucie, will be only $50.
