As a young child country artist Matt Kennon was inspired by rock music and got his start playing music when his dad bought him a drum set. He soon discovered country music and was influenced by artists from his home state of Georgia, like Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson. After self-releasing his first album he moved to Nashville and in 2009 he signed with BamaJam Records. His second album, 77, came out in 2011.
